The 23 bedroomed hotel is due to open early September providing high class accommodation and facilities for functions and conferences.
The 80 seat restaurant will offer the very best in cuisine from a high quality team of local staff and chefs who have an excellent reputation for quality.
The hotel, on the site of the former Bluebell Inn, has been built by developers Centre Great Group at a cost of £3 million. It has been supported by European funding and Neath Port Talbot Council and will provide 23 jobs.
Visiting the project this week, Council Leader Derek Vaughan, said, "The Council has pledged to improve the quality of the local environment and regenerate Neath town centre and this development is part of our ambitious plans.
"All out plans for the town centre are aimed at making Neath a better place for traders, visitors and residents."
Dave Daniel, Development Director for Centre Great, added, "Centre Great Group is pleased and encouraged by the interest and investment provided by the Council and European funding through the town centre regeneration programme.
"We believe that many more exciting developments will follow and allow the area to prosper.
"The project was completed using local people and local businesses to supply goods and services including the Design by Swansea based architects Thomas Parry."
