Queen set for return to city

The Queen is coming to Swansea. Her Royal Highness and the Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting the city on Friday, March 7.
Details of her visit have yet to be revealed by palace officials.
It has been nine years since the Queen last visited the city.
Thousands of people lined the streets of Swansea during the visit in May 1999.
She spent six hours in the city, including a walkabout in the marina, a visit to Cefn Hengoed school in Bonymaen, and the 3M factory in Gorseinon.
She was also shown plans for what became the National Waterfront Museum, before enjoying a civic lunch at the Brangwyn Hall.
In the afternoon the Duke of Edinburgh toured Selwyn's Penclawdd Seafood factory in Llanmorlais.
And the Queen met members of Gower's tourism industry.
The couple then jetted off from Swansea Airport.
The Queen also visited the city in 1977 and opened the old Swansea Leisure Centre.
The new revamped leisure centre is expected to open at the beginning of March.
Council leader Chris Holley said: "This is excellent news, and I am sure the people of Swansea will give a great welcome to the Queen.
"It is the first time she will have visited for nine years.
"And we are looking forward to seeing further details of her itinerary."
Asked if she might be asked to cut the ribbon at the new £32 million leisure centre, Mr Holley said: "I couldn't possibly comment on it."
Her most recent visit to the area was in October 2004.
She and Prince Phillip unveiled a special plaque at the new power station on Baglan Energy Park.
Details of the latest visit are being kept under wraps for security reasons.
But if she were to re-open the new leisure centre, it would be a remarkable coup for Swansea Council.
Mumbles resident and royal fan Tony Cottle said: "The visit of the Queen would be a real boost to Swansea.
"I think she will receive a great welcome.
"It would be wonderful if she were to re-open the leisure centre just like she did the first time.
"It would be great publicity."
