Swansea Bay Futures Ltd has been set up with the aim of 'Promoting the Swansea Bay region as a place to live, work, study, invest in and visit'
Whilst the Swansea Bay Region has a wealth of attractions, including the fantastic natural environment - beaches and parklands, a maritime quarter, a lively social scene, and great cultural and sporting opportunities, many people outside of Wales are not aware of what the area has to offer... and in particular the excellent quality of life that you can find here.
The view was that this lack of awareness was contributing to the region failing to achieve its potential. Positive action to address the issues of improving both the awareness and image of the City and the region was required and Swansea Bay Futures was set up to fulfil this role.
Swansea Bay Futures is a not for profit company, limited by guarantee, and is managed by a board of directors. It receives support through partnership agreements with companies and organisations that have an interest in seeing the area achieve its potential and are prepared to work with the company to help achieve the goals set out.

Did you know?
When a sample of people who had not visited Swansea City and the region were asked about the Swansea Bay the following findings were:
- Four out of five would not define the Swansea Bay Region as such a large territory
- Swansea Bay Region does not have strong associations with people, landmarks, events etc. Over half (57%) were not able to name any famous associations
- Whilst only a quarter placed Swansea as a coastal location!
