Swansea Bay Futures works with a range of companies, organisations, promotional and regeneration partnerships and major event organsisers to make full use of existing activity to raise the profil
e of the Swansea Bay region for the benefit of all those who live and work here.
Much of the company's work is focused on providing the resources to enable Swansea Bay to be promoted in a consistent way at every opportunity... and as well as managing the 'Bay of Life' brand, that means gathering together a wide range of up to date and interesting information and images and developing a range of materials that are suitable for different occasions.
Although some generic materials are available, the company will look at each opportunity individually and provide bespoke materials that match the particular audience and occasion. Much of the work of Swansea Bay Futures is therefore not visible to the general public... with the exception of visitors to Liberty Stadium or arrivals waiting to reclaim their bags at Cardiff Airport, where large scale promotional images from the region are on display
The opportunities that have so far been used are many and varied, but include amongst other things:
- Linking to recruitment for senior positions in the region
- Profiling Swansea Bay through key events such as the Dylan Thomas Prize and to Ryder Cup visitors
- Providing materials to add weight in persuading overseas and UK students to accept offers of places in Swansea
- Developing media coverage of Swansea Bay through journalist visits and bespoke pieces on the region.
- Producing relevant promotional materials to be included in national and international conference packs
