Dining out in SA1
The Independent has named Café Twocann in Swansea's SA1 in its list of 50 best coffee shops.
Café Twocann situated in the J Shed on SA1, Swansea's regenerated docks area, "aims to bring a bit of a café culture to the city."
Describing Café Twocann, The Independent says, "Based in an old grain store, sensitively restored but with plenty of modern comforts and conveniences, they have views over the marina - the perfect spot to stop and sip. There's a Welsh hint to it all too: coffees are served with a home-made mini Welsh cake."
Dennis and Catherine Cann started the café in April 2007 at the J Shed in SA1, and last year won Swansea Life magazine's coffee culture award. The husband and wife team are now celebrating Café Twocann's national recognition.
Mr Cann hopes that appearing in the Independent's list will attract more people to the area. He said, "It's fabulous for us to get this recognition. Our business is somewhere between a café and restaurant."
Mr Cann puts the success of the business down to quality of service and the ambience of the venue.
