Swedish clothing giant H&M will open its first store in Swansea in May.
The firm is now hiring for the outlet on Oxford Street which is expected to bring 30 jobs to the city.
It will open on Thursday, May 6, on the day voters are likely to go to the polls in the General Election.
H&M's Swansea store will supply collections for ladies, men and children.
It is in the process of being fitted out in the premises of the former TK Maxx store near Castle Gardens.
H&M has more than 160 stores across the UK, including two in Cardiff and one in Newport.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: "H&M are pleased to announce the opening of the new store in Swansea on Thursday, May 6.
"We are excited about our continued expansion in Wales and pleased to open a store in this great location.
"The Oxford Street store will hold collections for ladies, men and children and offer fashion and quality at the best possible price. The store will employ around 30 staff with the recruitment process already underway."
