TRENDY fashion retailer Animal is to open its first Swansea branch in the Quadrant shopping centre.
The brand is to take over the lease of the unit formerly occupied by Barratts.
Work on fixtures and fittings at the site is currently underway, and the new store should be open in the next couple of weeks, creating new jobs.
It is the latest boost to Swansea's high street.
Yesterday, the Post exclusively revealed that fashion giant Zara will finally open its doors at the £20 million Princess Way shopping scheme in August.
Jobs at the new Zara store are already being advertised.
It will be the second store to open at the new complex, and follows in the footsteps of Slaters Menswear.
Quadrant manager Alan Wallace said he expected to announce deals for two of the empty shops "in the next couple of days".
