Rhossili, Gower
Rhossili Downs and Bay, Swansea has featured in an article in The Guardian as being one the National Trust UK's top 10 walks. It was noted as being "best for beaches: admire views of one of Britain's finest sandy bays from Rhossili Downs before descending through the dunes to walk along the surf".
As the article says, " despite three quarters of a million people visiting Rhossili annually, this walk feels isolated and that it's just there for you".
Taking you along a route which gives spectacular views, not just of Worms Head and Burry Holm, but also over the whole of the Gower's fantastic topography, the 5 mile circular walk starts at the National Trust visitor centre at Rhossili, heads over the top of Rhossili Down to Hillend, Llangennith, before bringing you back across the beach. You can also extend the walk by then heading out to Worms Head - and over the causeway if the tides are right.
