The Wave and Swansea Sound are the radio stations for South West Wales. In three decades of broadcasting, their audience has grown to over 300,000 listeners each month.
Total involvement with the local community is a major key to the stations' success. Helping businesses in the area grow by connecting them with our vast audience is the stations' main purpose. Swansea Sound & The Wave are sure to continue growing their audience by playing the best music, creating great outdoor events such as Party in the Park and Cash for Kids which raises in excess of £500,000 annually, all of which stays in the local area to help disadvantaged children.
The Swansea Bay Futures initiative is a huge opportunity for the stations to engage with their audience and keep listeners abreast of the plans that will be rolled out. These plans are designed to attract investment, additional tourism and skilled personnel to the area. Carrie Mosley, Station Director, relocated to the area some 18 months ago.
Apart from having the opportunity to work with some of the best names in radio broadcasting such as Badger and Emma on the Wave breakfast show and the legendary Kev Johns on Swansea Sound, Carrie was also given the opportunity to experience a totally new way of living in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. She has often said that there couldn't have been a better time from a business perspective for her to relocate to Swansea. With exciting new projects like the Liberty Stadium, SA1 development and the Millennium Coastal Park in Llanelli. Swansea Sound & The Wave is proud to be a core part of this initiative and look forward to being involved in every aspect of the programme.
