National Waterfront Museum

NWM

The National Waterfront Museum is a new £33.5 million museum that sits in the heart of Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, and extends the boundaries of technology with its interactive interpretation of Wales’s industry and innovation.

The National Waterfront Museum is a must-see attraction. It aims to be one of the most ambitious and inspirational museum projects in the UK, with 15 themed galleries, more than 100 audio visual exhibits including 36 interactive displays.

Also on display, adding to the diversity of the exhibition, are some of the oldest and technological obsolete objects from across Wales.

The landmark building is itself a mix of old and new, incorporating a Grade II listed waterfront warehouse, which is linked to an awesome contemporary glass and slate building by a glazed, central walkway.

The museum connects the city to the marina waterfront with its cafes and shops, resulting in a thriving entertainment, cultural and educational centre.

The museum's unique galleries and spaces are available for hire, and can be used for business meetings, events and various corporate functions.
