Take in the sights and sounds of more than 300 years of Welsh industry and innovation at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea.
Opened in 2005, it represents one of Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales's biggest, most ambitious projects, costing over £35m and currently welcomes more than 250,000 visitors each year. It was developed in partnership with the City & County of Swansea and made possible by an £11 million Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
The vast industrial and maritime heritage is ready to explore via cutting-edge, interactive technology as well as a mix of traditional displays and large objects.
Housed in an iconic building that combines old and new architecture, the former Grade II listed former dockside warehouse (formerly the Swansea Industrial & Maritime Museum) built in 1902, contrasts with a spectacular new glass and slate structure designed exactly a century later by Stirling Prize-winning architects Wilkinson Eyre.
With its award-winning architecture and unrivalled waterfront location, the Museum also offers a superb venue for corporate and private events from drinks receptions, gala dinners, seminars and training days, to weddings and award ceremonies
