admiralLeading Welsh employer Admiral Group plc is strengthening its position in Wales by becoming involved in an exciting new initiative, Swansea Bay Futures, which is being set up to help support and develop the local and regional economy. This is to be done by the promotion of Swansea and the surrounding area as a place to live, learn, invest in and visit.

In order to accommodate increasing numbers of staff, the company moved to brand new purpose built offices in the the city's SA1 commercial and residential district on Swansea Waterfront. Admiral currently employs around 1,200 staff in Swansea, and is the largest employer in SA1, a major £400 million development that is transforming Swansea into a vibrant waterfront city of international renown.

Admiral has become involved with Swansea Bay Futures due to their commitment to make the best use of the City’s assets and existing activities, whilst raising the profile and improving perceptions across the UK. Admiral believes that supporting and developing the local and regional economy will not only be good for business, but also for its employees, who will see a marked improvement in quality of life from Swansea Bay Future’s initiatives.

Admiral has joined forces with Swansea Bay Futures to ensure the continuing improvement of the economic "health" of Swansea. Admiral has shown its commitment to the area by its expansion there, and now the company wants to continue this commitment by aiding the regeneration of an area it is actively involved in. It is Admiral’s belief that this is best achieved in conjunction with Swansea Bay Futures
