With Swansea City FC playing in the Premier League for the first time, we’re looking forward to offering a warm Welsh welcome to supporters from other Premiership clubs who may be making their first visit to Swansea.

Whether you’re coming just for the game, making a weekend of it or thinking of staying for longer, the following information will be helpful in planning your visit. But if there’s anything else you need to know, please do get in touch.

Liberty Stadium

Liberty Stadium, Swansea

The Liberty Stadium

  • Getting to Swansea - is easy by road, rail, air or sea. If you’re travelling independently then your route to the Stadium is via J45 of M4 and then using the Park & Ride facility for supporters. More details can be found here.

  • Local travel to the Liberty Stadium - It’s only 1.5 miles from the city centre to Liberty Stadium if you fancy the walk. Buses 4 & 4a take supporters from Swansea bus station and the train station to The Liberty Stadium. Taxis are also available at the bus and train stations. For more detailed information, click on our dedicated travel and parking page which has information for home and away supporters.

  • What's the Liberty Stadium Like? - The Liberty Stadium has a maximum capacity of 20,400 for sporting events and 25,000 for concerts. It's home to Swansea City FC and the Ospreys regional rugby side so hosts at least one game a week during the season. The stadium opened in 2005, the same year as the National Waterfront Museum opened in the city and has become the focus for the regeneration of this part of the city.

  • Around the Liberty Stadium - There are plenty of nearby places to eat and drink including: Frankie & Bennys, Harvester, Pizza Hut, KFC, Starbucks, Rossi’s Fish & Chip Bar and Pizzeria Vessuvio with lots more choice in the city centre. Immediately adjacent to the Liberty Stadium is Morfa Shopping Park which is home to B&Q, PC World/Curry’s, Game, TK Maxx, Sports Direct, Next, New Look, Argos, Boots, Brantano, Peacocks and Morrisons.

Llangennith Surfing

Why not combine supporting your team with a weekend making the most of Swansea’s great outdoors and fun night scene? The City has a great reputation within the region for its nightlife. The focus is on Wind Street (pronounced Wine Street!) in the City centre where you’ll find all you need for a great night out – bars restaurants, clubs and a casino. Swansea also has a very active live music scene so keep your ears open.

One of our other strengths is the great outdoors – whether experienced or just a beginner you can enjoy some of the most consistent surf conditions in the UK or access some of the best mountain biking. These are just a few of the great Outdoor activities you can have a go at during your stay.
