150 jobs set to be created in Llanelli

One of the most eagerly awaited shops in Llanelli is set to open in the summer, it has been confirmed.

Primark has been at the top of the wish list for shoppers in Llanelli for many years, and will open in Parc Trostre in the coming months.

Aside from the boost to the town’s shops offering – 150 jobs will be created.

The new store will have 38,000 square foot of retail space and, according to Primark, will be designed to the latest contemporary specification.

A Primark spokeswoman said: “The new store in Llanelli Parc Trostre Retail Park will have over 38,000 square foot of retail space and will feature the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashions including footwear, accessories as well as lingerie, beauty and homeware.

“The store’s design and layout builds on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit.”

“The store is currently scheduled to open late summer and will create approximately 150 new jobs.”

The nationwide retailer’s plan to come to Parc Trostre was first mentioned back in January 2016, and shoppers have been waiting for its arrival ever since.

The long wait caused speculation that it might not be arriving after all, but the store reiterated its intention to come to Llanelli in November.

Primark offers a range of products, from newborn and children’s clothing to homeware, accessories and confectionary.
