The Marketing Team at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David has been shortlisted for two prestigious public affairs awards in recognition of its creative and imaginative use of social media in marketing and recruitment campaigns.
Nominated for ‘The Best Use of Social Media by an In-house Team’ in the Euro Public Affairs Awards 2017 and ‘Social Media Campaign of the Year’ in the UK Public Affairs Awards 2017, the results for the University’s shortlisted categories will be announced on 22 November for the EU Awards in Brussels and on 14 December in London for the UK Awards.
Other nominees include World Vision, Firesafe Europe and the European Aluminium Association for the EU Awards and the National Housing Federation and leading communications agency PLMR for the UK Awards.

Our submissions focused on the way in which we create, build and nurture relationships with our future students through compelling and creative social media campaigns and recognises our highly influential and successful digital communications strategy and narrative.”
Michael Burrell, Director of the European Centre for Public Affairs (ECPA). Former Vice Chairman, Public Affairs, Europe at APCO Worldwide and Vice Chairman, Europe at Edelman said that the judges were impressed by the quality and variety of this year’s entries, noting that many included impressive deployment of social media techniques in support of direct lobbying activities.
The awards are organised by Government Knowledge, the UK Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and for Europe, Zetter’s Political Services, with support from the European Centre for Public Affairs, (ECPA) the European Public Affairs Consultancies’ Association (EPACA), the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP) and the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO).
