Swansea attracts the UK’s first Denny’s Diner creating 70 new jobs

The first Denny’s Diner in the UK has opened in Swansea and will have a significant impact on the Swansea community, creating 70 local jobs. In addition, Denny’s opened to serve homeless people in Swansea on Christmas Day and will support local charities as well as sponsoring the local under-12s football team, Llandarcy FC.

Located at Parc Tawe retail and leisure park in Swansea, Denny’s flagship UK restaurant and training venue combines Denny’s US heritage with a unique design and locally-sourced materials, providing customers with the Denny’s experience they know and love. The 200-seat restaurant has Denny’s signature elements of a modern colour palette, hardwood floor tiles and exposed brick wall. The restaurant lighting and booths will be familiar to customers of Denny’s in the US while local features include the children’s dining area, specially created for Denny’s in the UK.

Darron Keinzley, Brand Manager for Denny’s Magic Diners UK said:

“Denny’s guests have come to our diners to sit back, relax and enjoy delicious, hearty meals for more than 60 years. We hope to bring that same sense of community to Swansea with this new restaurant, from breakfast any time to satisfying lunches and dinners, if hungry fans are in the mood for it, chances are we’re serving it.”

Denny’s is known for providing its customers with fantastic choice and good value throughout the day, from traditional favourites to ‘Fit Fare’: healthy options like egg whites and hearty wheat breads that can be substituted into any meal for no extra charge. Diners can also build their own meal drawing from the extensive Denny’s menu, making it easy to eat well on the go. The menu will replicate the US experience, offering hash browns and milkshakes alongside the famous Slams and adding a unique British touch, with items such as Baked Beans and Fish and Chips.
